Hi, I'm Natalie...
I am 5'2 and a size 18, which means I am petite AND plus size. Those two sizing terms might seem like polar opposites, but full figures come in a variety of shapes and sizes—one of those being short! As a petite plus size fashionista, it has been extremely difficult to fit into fashion and find clothing made for my body. But I'm here to share my petite plus style tips with you and to show the world that short, plus size women belong in fashion!
ABOUT

PLUS SIZE WINTER ATHLETIC WEAR

Chicago Plus Size Petite Fashion Blogger, influencer, YouTuber, and model Natalie Craig, of Natalie in the City, reviews Fabletics' winter outerwear and plus size athletic wear.

My workout attire doubles as everyday attire, and I blame it on city life! You’re probably thinking, “What?! Don’t you want to dress beautifully all the time because you live in the city?! Don’t you want to strut your stuff in heels all day?” Okay, maybe you aren’t thinking exactly that. But if you are, I’m here to tell you that I do have those days, frequently. And I wake up with every intention of putting on a carefully-crafted, chic outfit. As I plan out my day in my head, I start to crave clothing that moves with my body and that I feel comfortable in all day. And this is what leads me to the “gym” drawer in my closet.

But hey, that’s not always a bad thing...because I have really cute workout attire. I also feel so comfortable, confident, and ready to take on anything the day throws at me in this gear. As I’m sure you know or have heard from anyone who has ever even thought about Chicago once in their lifetime, it gets cold here—like freezing cold. While I don’t mind the freezing temps, sometimes my plus size gym attire takes a back seat to heavy coats and sweats from the men’s section—yeah, it’s that cold. However, Fabletics has recently launched new athletic outerwear, which makes me so happy! They just launched this Larissa Fleece Zip-Up Jacket that I’m wearing, and they pair well with these High-Waisted Printed PowerHold Leggings, which have a faux leather look to them. And you know how much I have been digging that lately.

If you are curious about Fabletics, but haven’t tried them yet, they are by far my favorite place to go to get plus size work out leggings. Their leggings are never see through, they never fall down, and they come in different levels of compression and support. If you want to try them out, you can get your first two pair of leggings for only $24, which is a steal! Check that offer out here: FIRST TWO FABLETICS LEGGINGS FOR $24

SIZING INFO: I am wearing a size 1X in both the Larissa Fleece Zip-Up Jacket and High-Waisted Printed PowerHold Leggings, which is my usual size in Fabletics attire, and they fit pretty well. I will tell you that the pants seem to conform to my body a little less than most Fabletics’ leggings, and I think it may be because of the faux leather or shiny material. The jacket is a cropped fit, so it can be a little tight in the waist when it’s zipped. So if you can, I’d size up if you’re looking for a looser fit.
